The Hideaway is a delightful semi detached cottage in a picturesque, semi rural setting yet very close to amenities. It is just yards from Huntingtower Castle and half a mile from the Perth bypass. It is 15 minutes from the centre of Perth and there are buses both from Tarry Row and Crieff going into Perth.
There are many places to eat nearby including Huntingtower Hotel, Gloagburn Farmshop and restaurant, Dobies restaurant and the Glover's Arms. Perth has plenty good places to enjoy locally produced fare. Most Satudays have a market in town including the popular Farmers Markets where local fare abounds.
Perth was the first Scottish Cittaslow town and you can sure of the very best fresh local produce. Perthshire is famous for it's raspberries and strawberries, local honey, prime beef and lamb wonderful Tay salmon and smoked samon.
The Hideaway is so called as it is hidden from view with the back facing you when you park the car. The property is accessed by a path on the right hand side of the house and when you come to the front you will see the lovely garden and patio area. There is also a shed to house all the garden furniture and lots of flowers and herbs for you to pick and enjoy.
The property is accessed from the bypass by taking the A85 towards Crieff and the first right turning signposted Huntingtower Castle. Tarry Row is immediately on your left after coming down the hill.
The Hideaway is accessed from the garden into a vestibule with a cupboard and hanging rail with a shelf above. It leads to the kitchen, which has a small eating area with stools. It is well fitted with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and cooker with an oven and grill. It is well stocked with pots and pans, cutlery and crockery to meet all your needs.
The sitting room is lovely with patio doors into the garden. There is a comfortable sofa which can become a bed if required, a matching arm chair and a storage stool. A coffee table and a dining table for 4. There is a TV, DVD, and music centre. The patio doors lead directly to the paved patio and the garden beyond.
The garden is bounded by mature trees to provided a degree of privacy. It is laid out mainly out to lawn with flower and shrub filled borders. It enjoys many hours of sunshine throughout the year and there is a barbeque and plenty of garden furniture
The Double Bedroom is well fitted with plenty of storage space and a comfortable double bed and a lovely headboard and cushions. All linen is provided and comfortable pillows. There is also a TV in the bedroom. Electric blankets are available on request.
The Bathroom is fully tiled with a toilet, wash hand basin and full size bath with a shower over it. There is a bi-fold screen over the bath and a ladder radiator for cosy towels. There are 2 display shelves and a mirror.
